April 29 to May 1 was the Labor Day long weekend. Host siblings celebrated birthdays early for Sydney and Anabelle. Some weekend fun photos from students! All the lights in the last two pictures were actually 1,374 drones in the sky. It was a world genius record event at the South Gate of City Wall, there will be a world genius record event to have 1,374 drones in the sky.
The chef who taught us how to make stretched noodles gave us his calligraphy as gifts!
The school reorganized the faculty cafeteria to prepare a farewell party for us. Mr. Wang, the Principal, gave students the gifts and the certificates of completion of the program. We also prepared flowers for the school officials and host parents as well as framed pictures for the host siblings. We celebrated Sydney's, Anabelle's and Ms. Li's birthdays. The lunch was a so well-prepared buffet. Those mushrooms were actually dessert.
Good bye to our classroom.
We left for the airport at 6:40 a.m. All the host families came to say good byes. Saying good byes is not easy. It was a very emotional moment.
